the ovoid body rising from a recessed base to a tapering neck, painted in vibrant tones around the shoulders with linked ruyi-heads suspending beaded tassels hanging stylized lotus sprays alternating with the 'Eight Treasures', all above flying horses galloping among breaking waves and stylized cloud lappets, the neck encircled with a leafy floral scroll, six-character mark in underglaze blue

Condition

There is a small filled rim chip 1/8 in. (0.3 cm), and a horizontal haircrack running around just below the rim approx. 2 in. (5 cm) long. There is a bruise to the inner rim approximately 1/2 in. (1 cm) long with an associated 1 in. (2.5 cm) haircrack extending down into the body. There is a 5 in. (12.6 cm) horizontal crack along the shoulder extending from a small impact bruise. Midway down the body there is a long brown-stained horizontal firing crack running along the luting line. There's typical shallow chipping to the underside edge of the foot. There is a 1 in. (2.5 cm) running across footrim, and a 3 in. (7.6 cm) haircrack on the base extending into body.
