carved in the round, seated upright with legs crossed upon a high lotus throne raised on a faceted column with beaded horizontal borders rising above a circular petal-carved base, the left hand resting on one knee, wearing a kashaya robe draped over the shoulders and gathering at the feet, the face sensitively carved with small features, the hair in small tight curls that cover the ushnisha, the dark gray stone with traces of gesso and pigment

Condition

The figure has areas of loss and wear, notably to the hair curls, the nose, tips of fingers and both ears and along the edge of the plinth. The figure is missing one hand and its mandorla.
