- Rhinoceros horn (Rhinoceros Unicornis)
carved on the exterior with burls and knots simulating a tree trunk, the handle formed by two branches issuing thin twigs bearing prunus buds and blossoms, the flowering twigs and branches extending across the sides of the vessel and onto the interior of the vessel, the surface of a lustrous patinated warm amber tone, wood stand
Condition
The overall condition is quite good with only some typical age cracks, insect holes and chips to the extremities. The centre of the base has possibly been slightly polished down.

本犀盃雕工樸拙，線條有力，梅朵粗碩，枝幹剛勁，受明代版畫影響頗深。通體高浮雕一樹寒梅，環抱盃身，身下光潔細潤，層次對比強烈，清雅非凡。梅花，與松、竹並稱「歲寒三友」，象徵傲骨不屈，凌寒留香。
