the tapered horn carved on the exterior around the mouthrim with jagged rockwork and branches issuing clusters of leaves, the lower section of the vessel decorated in low relief with tempestuous waves, the openwork handle formed on one side with intertwining branches issuing further pine blossoms and extending onto the interior of the cup, the horn patinated to a dark brown tone, wood stand

There are bruises and chips to the extremities of the design (most severe 1 cm.). Chips to pine leaves around the rim. Minor age cracks and surface wear.

本品一類，通雕山水，避隱人物，多為文人所取。文人之志，不拘於仕，但求暫忘官場沉浮，遁入空林仙遊而已。犀盃雕工，上到山石，下至濤浪，無不精鑽細緻，紋風彷若時之青花瓷器。
