清雍正 田黃雕瑞獸鈕橢圓形章

deftly carved in the form of a mythical beast sitting on its haunches on an oval-sectioned pedestal, the mythical beast depicted with its head powerfully held up above its prominently pronounced taut muscles, its body decorated with stylised wings, all below its long curved striated horns, the stone of a warm amber-honey colour 

費彝民（1908-88）舊藏

費彝民，江蘇吳縣人。畢業於北京高等法文學堂，曾在北京隴海鐵路總公所工作。三十年代加入《大公報》，歷任編輯部記者、經濟課主任、上海分館社評委員等職。1948年出任香港《大公報》社經理，後擔任該社社長。其新聞工作資歷豐富，撰寫新聞通訊及評論外，更參與報社業務經營及發展，亦曾擔任全國政協常委及人大常委之職務。與文化藝術界交往密切，又嗜收藏，庋藏書畫頗豐，尤以黃賓虹作品水準甚高，曾參加六十年代初在港舉行之《黃賓虹作品欣賞會》。

In overall good condition. Minute nicks to the extremities as can be expected. The base has possibly been slightly polished. The catalogue illustration with a reddish tone.

田黃色澤金黃，溫潤如脂。印鈕巧雕，瑞獸眼仁微凹以墨點睛，頭頂雙角、身披細鱗、肩具蝠翅、末長捲尾，傲立階台之上，昂首生威，極富清初宮廷御作典風；惜印文無存，難正其身。觀其巧雕細琢，與北京故宮藏雍正「朝乾夕愓」、「敬天尊祖」，以及售於香港蘇富比2004年4月25日（編號26）之乾隆田黃獸鈕「契理在寸心」御璽，皆有共通之處。
