清乾隆 鎏金銅釋迦牟尼坐像 《大清乾隆年敬造》款

cast seated in vajraparyankasana with the right hand held in bhumisparashamudra and the left in dhyanamudra, dressed in a loose robe draped over the right shoulder, the serene face with downcast eyes and a meditative expression, flanked by a pair of long pendulous earlobes pierced with vertical slots, the head and domed ushnisha covered in tight curls, all supported on a double lotus pedestal with beaded edges, the reverse of the base inscribed with a seven-character reign mark

As visible in the catalogue photo, there is rubbing to the gilding and general surface wear. The base plate is missing. There is also a small circular aperture on the figure's left hand, possibly where there was originally an attribute, possibly an alms bowl.
