deftly carved in openwork as a rocky grotto with pine and wutong blossoms issuing from the crevices, carved on one side with a scholar dressed in loose robes standing across pine blossoms, the stone of an even white colour with faint russet inclusions 

Overall good condition. Minute nicks to the extremities as can be expected. The catalogue illustration with a reddish tone.
