拍品資料及來源

It is rare to find a Jiaqing reign-marked jade bowl of this large size and quality. The quality and colour of the stone is exceptional, and it has been skillfully worked and polished in the distinctive and pronounced shape of its porcelain counterparts. For a pair of smaller bowls, incised with similar reign marks, see the pair illustrated by Robert Kleiner, Chinese Jades from the Collection of Alan and Simone Hartman, Hong Kong, 1996, no. 90, and sold at Christie’s Hong Kong, 28th November 2006, lot 1393. Compare also the mark on a saucer included in the Oriental Ceramic Society exhibition, Chinese Jade Throughout the Ages, Victoria and Albert Museum, London, 1975, no. 437.
