exquisitely carved and pierced in the form of a hollowed-out peach, carved on one side in openwork and in varying levels of relief with a bat with outstretched wings and a long leafy sprig meandering across the exterior of the vessel and extending to the underside, the grain of the branches and tendrils of the leaves intricately rendered through finely incised lines, an additional bat depicted perched on the mouthrim on the opposite side, the stone of a pale celadon-white colour with faint russet inclusions

In overall good condition. There may possibly have been a break to the leaves to the front of the washer, with minute nicks to the tip of the leaves at the base and one leaf at the front, as well as the tip of the right wing of the bat. Minute nicks to the extremities as can be expected. The catalogue illustration with a yellowish tone.
