of circular form, delicately potted with an ovoid body rising from a short tapered foot to a square-sectioned neck and slightly everted mouthrim, delicately painted to the exterior with a continuous scene of peony blossoms issuing from pierced rockwork interspersed with floral buds and a knotty branch bearing prunus blossoms to the other side, a pair of magpies perched on rocks and sprigs, whilst another pair is depicted in mid-flight, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character reign mark within a double circle

There are some stained pinholes to the rim and an approx. 1 cm underglaze bodyline to the shoulder. The overall condition is otherwise very good with the enamels generally well preserved.
