Condition
There is a 0.4 cm shallow scale chip to the rim of the vase, with 1.8 cm horizontal line crack to the rim, and extending 0.4 cm inside. Otherwise good condition.

此梅瓶，素樸無紋，器形豐腴俏美，釉色明潤，幾近無瑕，龍泉窰佳品之代表，當屬明初官作一類。時匠技藝精湛，素品器，尤為難燒，但見瑕疵，即致佳料餘廢，需比例勻稱，窰火老練，方得上品。
同類梅瓶，仍配原蓋者，存世極罕。可參考一略小例，藏台北國立故宮博物院，展於《碧綠：明代龍泉窰青瓷》，台北，2009年，圖版64；同見一無蓋例，圖版65。另見一例，器形略收，藏上野毛五島美術館，載於《世界陶磁全集．卷14：明》，東京，1976年，圖版230。亦見一相類無蓋例，橫河收藏，現存東京國立博物館，載於《東京国立博物館図版目錄‧中國陶磁篇》，卷2，東京，1990年，圖版486。兩例曾售於倫敦蘇富比，其一於1986年5月20日，編號2；其二於2004年11月10日，編號561。浙江處州龍泉窰址，曾出土多件相類例及其配蓋，見葉英挺及華雨農，《發現：處州龍泉官窰》，杭州，2005年，頁38-101。
本品器形，較明初龍泉典型梅瓶，略顯豐張，或源出景德鎮官窰青花相類品。可參考六梅瓶例，紋飾各類，高安元代窰址出土，錄於《高安元代窖藏瓷器》，上海，2005年，頁52-63。同類梅瓶，亦見紋若景德鎮窰者，可比一帶蓋例，雕梅竹紋，藏北京故宮博物院，錄於《中國陶瓷全集‧明（下）》，上海，1999年，圖版189。由此即見，時之龍泉或承官樣，以製御供之器。據官檔載，龍泉窰曾燒官器，或終於成化一朝。
