本插屏尺寸碩大，製工繁縟，正面雕一持杖高士，攜童子，山間賞遊，悠閒自在；背面飾梅樹一株，枝頭花開，幽靜清怡。此類屏，應屬文人案頭之大品。料必精選，需大材，正反浮雕數層，互不相透。同類品，多飾山水人物，無不刻求精雅。立於案頭，閒時賞玩，彷若置身其中，曲徑通幽處，漫步閒野間，官場世俗一切，漸行漸遠，無慾無念。

本屏紋飾，寓意吉祥，寒梅、冬菊歲末盛開，俊冷清和，象徵堅毅不撓；翠竹長青，雪風凌策仍立而不倒，曲而不折，代表剛強正直。可參考碧玉屏一對，紋飾構圖相類，德安堂收藏，展於《玉緣》，前述出處，圖版48。
