the ruyi-shaped head finely carved with a bat suspending a beribonned chime shaped in a stylised form of the shou ('longevity') character, the front and reverse of the arched shaft decorated in low relief with wispy cloud swirls, the arch set with a shaped panel deftly detailed with two birds hovering around foliage stemming elegantly from a jardinière, the terminal with a further jardinière growing lush gladioli, the bottom edge pierced for threading a tassel, the stone of an even pale celadon tone with icy inclusions and attractive russet streaks

Condition
The overall condition is quite good. There are a few minor expected nicks to the inner and outer borders of the ruyi head as well as the carving within. There is also an approximately 0.5 x 0.2 cm. nick to the carving between the ruyi head and the shaft. The actual colour is very similar to that of the catalogue illustration.
