The corners have been possibly been rounded to cover up flaws in the stone. There are a few minute nicks to the rounded corners. There is a short red streak on the back side below the tail of the lion. The colour is a bit paler than the catalogue photo and the size of the seal has been enlarged in the catalogue illustration.

此田黃印色潤質佳，鈕雕臥獅，渾然靈動，披鬃側垂於背，臥身蓄俯傾前，尤懷宋風，淡借古意。一相類田黃太獅少獅作例，售於香港蘇富比2007年10月9日，編號1513。以體裁論，田黃雕近玉，遂可比一玉獅作例，售於香港蘇富比2008年10月8日，編號2712。亦可見一宋代例，錄於《中國肖生玉雕》，香港藝術館，香港，1996年，編號84。
