This bowl is in fair condition and has two areas of restoration to the rim (3.5cm and 3cm). There is some pinholes to the glaze to the interior and to the exterior. The ones above to the foot to the exterior are slightly larger. There is some scratches to the glaze to the interior and exterior.

比較一對相近黑釉油滴盌，圖見John Ayers，《Chinese Ceramics in the Baur Collection》，卷1，日內瓦，1999年，圖版29 及30；另一例現藏於 Sackler Museum，哈佛大學，曾展於《Hare's Fur, Tortoiseshell and Partridge Feathers》，哈佛大學美術館，劍橋，麻省，1995年，編號43a及43b。另一較大盌例，載於康蕊君，《Chinese Ceramics from the Meiyintang Collection》, 卷三（II），倫敦，2006年，圖版1549；另有一例，尺寸相近，曾售於倫敦蘇富比2002年11月13日，編號77。

此類盌多用於茶道儀式，尤其流行於日本，曰「油滴天目」。日本美術館收藏數例；大阪市立東洋陶磁美術館收藏一珍品，日本文化廳定為國寶，曾展於《Tobutsu tenmoku》, 茶道資料館，京都，1994年。同展另有兩近例，分別出自名古屋德川美術館及東京根津美術館 ，前述出處，編號2-4。東京龍光寺亦藏一例，載於《中国の陶磁 ：天目》，東京，1999年，圖版24；再比一例，載於《東京国立博物館図版目錄：中国陶磁》，東京，1988年，編號610。
