Theis rare jar is in good overall condition with the exception of some firing imperfections including a 2.5cm., slight depression to the body below the handle, a 14cm., concave line running horizontally around the waist of the body, minor glaze pulls, glaze holes, burst glaze bubbles, small blisters and a slightly warped mouth rim.

本品上作白斑紋，日文稱天目，見於各式吉州窰瓷器，故應為吉州瓷匠常用紋飾主題。可比數例，其一圖見康蕊君，《玫茵堂中國陶瓷》，卷三（II），倫敦，2006年，圖版1555；另一例售於倫敦蘇富比1984年6月19日，編號200。另可參考梅瓶兩例，瓶身白斑紋排列呈螺旋狀，一例售於倫敦蘇富比2005年7月13日，編號139；另一例售於倫敦佳士得1987年12月14日，編號168。

白鶴美術館收藏一盌例，圖見《白鶴英華》，1978年，圖版48（下圖）；東京国立博物館亦藏一例，載於《世界陶磁全集》，卷10，東京，1955年，圖版64；一例售於倫敦蘇富比2002年6月19日，編號27。尚可參考三足香爐例，現藏東京出光美術館，載於《出光美術館蔵品図錄》，1987年，圖版105。
