the ovoid body rising from a spreading foot to a tall waisted neck flaring at the rim, delicately painted with a gnarled flowering and fruiting pomegranate tree, the fruits with a stippled texture and bursting with succulent seeds, set in a garden landscape with flowering branches of hibiscus and camellia, all between ruyi and floral bands, the neck decorated on a turquoise-ground with bats and peaches interspersed with interlocking foliate lotus strapwork, the rim encircled by a ruyi band and the foot with keyfret, the interior and base enamelled in turquoise, inscribed to the base with a six-character seal mark

This vase has been broken at the neck (to approximately 9cm from the rim) in several pieces and restored. There is also some light scratches to the glaze to the sides.
