the shallow rounded sides rising from a tapered foot to a flared rim, finely incised to the interior with a scaly dragon amidst fire and cloud scrolls and brightly enamelled in cream, yellow, green and aubergine with large peach and pomegranate sprays, all reserved on a cream ground, the exterior similarly decorated with camellia and peony sprays and incised with two further dragons above a band of lotus lappets above the foot, the base with a six-character reign mark in underglaze-blue within a double circle

Condition
The dish is in good condition with the exception of light fritting along the rim and minor glaze firing imperfections such as grits and burst glaze bubbles.

本品紋飾鮮豔，藝匠先暗刻龍紋，再以釉彩加繪瑞果紋，兩組圖案重疊，卻無直接關連，盤底施以高溫釉，器身其他部份則罩低溫白釉。如此裝飾手法相當罕有，僅見於康熙一朝素三彩盤盌器。雖有近似作例，唯紋飾差別甚大。每器上繪果實種子偶露，或生或熟，隨意結枝間，其佈局疏密、施彩濃淡，各有不同，是以凡飾此紋，皆風格自然，生機勃發。
相類瓷盤見於多個重要私人典藏及博物館收藏，例如上海博物館藏品，錄於汪慶正編，《上海博物館藏康熙瓷》，香港，1998年，圖版144；東京出光美術館藏品，見葉佩蘭，《美哉陶瓷7．五彩明瓷》，台北，1996年，圖版283；或三藩市亞洲藝術博物館藏品，著錄於賀利，《Chinese Ceramics: The New Standard Guide》，倫敦，1996年，圖版613。一件類近瓷盤，出自英國鐵路基金會收藏，售於倫敦蘇富比1976年4月6日，後兩度現身香港蘇富比，先售於1989年5月16日，編號70，後再售於2012年10月9日，編號29，出自玫茵堂珍藏。
