of shallow form supported on a low tapered foot, the exterior decorated with chickens and rooster in a grassy pasture with craggy rocks, peony, chrysanthemum and narcissus sprays, among bamboo, picked out in green, pink, blue, yellow, brown and black enamel, the interior medallion painted with a similar palette depicting a rooster and hen below a plantain tree, the based inscribed with a four-character mark in underglaze-blue within a double-square, Caihua Tang zhi (Hall of Brilliant Colors)

An approx 25mm hairline to interior at 1 O'clock. A 4mm restored rim chip at 12 o'clock, otherwise in very good general condition.
