the squat ovoid body rising from a recessed base to a short narrow ribbed neck with everted rim, freely painted in dark brown around the shoulder with a broad band of stylised birds in flight, all above a double line and reserved on a creamy-white glazed ground

This vase is in good condition, but does have a number of firing and stress cracks to the shoulder and sides. There is also a number of inconsistencies to the glaze where it has run short of the foot and finger marks to the lower section of the vase.
