描述

  • jade
the flattened pear-shaped body rising from a spreading foot to an everted rim gently flaring at the spout, set on one side with a loop handle, the exterior decorated with bands of archaistic kui dragons, C-scrolls, pendent leaves and cicada lappets, the stone of a beige tone with russet-brown veining

Condition

The ewer is in good condition with the exception of a tiny nick to the edge of the rim. There are some uneven natural flaws to the base of the foot. It should be noted that the stone is of a slightly darker brown tone than the cataologue illustration would suggest.
