There is a 0.4x0.4cm chip one side near the top of the ewer, and other minor chips elsewhere. There are short cracks on the body, including those along where the spout and the handle are attached to the body. The cover has a 1.5x0.4cm shallow chip to the rim, the finial has been broken and restuck, with traces of glue remain. The colour is of a darker tone compared to the catalogue illustration.
