the rounded sides supported on a short foot, painted to the interior with a central medallion enclosing an iron-red five-clawed dragon writhing amongst cresting blue waves, the exterior similarly decorated with nine further dragons amongst waves, all below a band of cash coins, the base inscribed with a six-character seal mark

Condition
The dish is in good condition. There is a loss (2.3x0.2cm) to the iron-red enamel on the dragon's lower body to the interior. The rim has burst glaze bubbles and iron spots, some fired to a brown tone. The base with a 0.8cm glaze line along the foot. General surface wear.
