mounted with ink and colour on silk paintings, depicting a court assembly with officials, foreigners carrying tributes and mythical beasts gathered in front of elaborate pavilions and court buildings
Condition
Viewing from right to left: There is a long horizontal tear extending horizontally across the upper sections of the 1st and 2nd panel (approx. 0.4cm wide), with visible overpainting. The 2nd panel with repair to the middle section and on the two foreigners at the bottom. Other repair and repainting visible on the mid-lower section of the 3rd panel, near the official's face in the middle section of the 4th and the 6th panels. There are stains to the roof on the 6th and 7th panel. The 7th panel has an area of repair to the lotus lappets behind the buddhist lion. There is a circa 12.5cm horizontal tear across the two officials' faces on the 8th panel. There are general tear, surface wear and stains elsewhere on the screen, particularly along the hinges.
