the body finely and deeply carved as a section of an old gnarled pine tree with a leafy branch curling up from the base and around both sides of the body to form the handle, the wood patinated to a rich golden-brown tone
Condition
The base has two repaired broken sections, one measuring 2.5x1.5cm and the other 1.8x1.4cm and the front section of the rim 4cmx2mm has been repaired. Minor nibbling along the extremities. Surface wear and minor drying cracks. The actual colour is slightly darker than the catalogue illustration.
