written in ink on a woven silk brocade, the text reading from right to left in regular script (kaishu), and repeated in Manchu script reading from left to right, impressed with the imperial Zhigao zhi bao seal (Seal of Edict) and dated second year of Daoguang period (corresponding to 1822)
Condition
There is damage to the exterior paper mount to various areas to the end 55cm. There are some areas of loss (6cm) and fraying to the lower border to the left side. There is some vertical wear to a number of panels which has resulted in some wear to the characters. There is some discolouration/fading to the characters to the last and second last panel.
