描述

  • bronze
cast seated on a circular lotus pedestal, the legs bent and the hands held across the chest holding a double vajra, wearing an animal skin around the waist leaving the chest and large belly exposed, the neck with a beaded necklace suspending skulls and the arms draped with a billowing scarf, the head reared backwards with mouth agape revealing sharp fangs, surmounted by a skull crown

Condition

Five old rectangular bronze repairs to the lotus base, the largest measuring approximately 15mm by 15mm. A break to the lower section of left celestial scarf. Two distinct areas where the gilding appears to have been deliberately rubbed: the first to the centre of the stand, next to the figure's left leg (the area measuring approximately 45mm by 25mm) and to the stomach area (30mm by 27mm). Wear and rubbing to gilding elsewhere.
