the deep rounded sides rising from a short spreading foot to an incurved rim, carved in low relief around the exterior with leafy lotus scrolls divided by a pair of pierced ruyi and bat handles suspending loose rings, the interior carved in medium relief with a bat and peach sprig roundel, the stone of pale celadon tone, wood stand
Condition
In very good general condition, with finely carved details. Two small shallow chips to inner rim, measuring approximately 3mm and 1mm. Minute nicks elsewhere to the edges of the higher relief carving to the handles and interior. The stone of a slightly greener tone than as seen in the catalogue image, with faint natural flaws and opaque white inclusions.

本器尺寸碩大，玉色澤潤，綴淺浮雕紋飾更顯瑩潤雅緻，實為珍品。外雕纏枝蓮紋流麗細緻，彰顯藝匠巧工造詣，風格取自類近瓷器。
見一作例，蝶作雙耳，內壁雕鯰魚成對，兩魚繞磬而游，售於香港佳士得2011年6月1日，編號3641。
另有一作例 ，四足，內雕靈芝水仙紋，曾展於《玉緣 ：德安堂藏玉展》，故宮博物院，北京，2004年，編號18；同見一例雕燕子梅花紋，屬乾隆年器並款 ，售於紐約蘇富比，2007年3月19日，編號614。紐約蘇富比於2004年3月23日亦曾出售一碧玉作例，尺寸相若，內綴團果紋，編號519。
乾隆年間大量上等玉石籽料運入中國，製成珍品佳器。此類玉器寓意吉祥，款式繁多，故期間流行以玉洗賀結縭之喜。洗耳紋飾題材紛呈，巧工妙思，成雙蝴蝶寄夫妻和順同心祝愿。本洗耳刻如意蝙蝠紋飾，祝賀新人百年好合。
