exceptionally well worked in the form of a hollowed half peach with an intricately carved arrangement of entwined leaves, tendrils and flowering stems forming the handle, with a large parrot purchased atop beside two small fruiting peaches, the pale green and russet stone with a high polish

In excellent general condition. The highly polished stone with extensive russet skin and natural stone inclusions which have generally been carefully incorporated into the design. Several very small chips to the high relief carving and openwork including but not limited to: to one tip of the parrot's wing and a few of the leafy tendrils. The stone of a greener, less yellowish tone than as seen in the catalogue image.

玉盃為文案用具，雕工細膩，取思自然，佈局層次分明，枝葉蜿蜒，寫意流暢，上飾鸚鵡，羽毛雕琢精緻入微。玉匠工藝嫻熟，巧用玉色褐皮入畫融入構圖，鸚鵡與捲葉對比鮮明，彰顯鬼斧神工。比較一相關作例，曾展於《敬天格物：中國歷代玉器導讀》，國立故宮博物院，台北，2011年，編號7-2-2。另可參考一例，展於《博古存珍：敏求精舍金禧紀念展》，香港藝術館，香港，2010年，編號205。第三例錄於Sydney L.
