A faint star hairline crack to below the pink lotus below the flaming pearl, measuring approximately 55mm wide by 30mm long; otherwise in very good condition with some rubbing to the gilt borders to the rim and foot and minor surface wear to the enamels. The turquoise enamel to interior speckled black in parts.

本品龍鳳紋飾精緻絕倫，五爪龍以礬紅料勾勒，騰駕雲間，活靈活現，鳳身則施粉彩，溫婉流暢。白地飾纏枝牡丹芙蓉，帶乾隆瓷畫遺風，構圖則取嘉慶早期典型設計。參見一瓶例，屬乾隆器並款，以粉彩礬紅繪開光式山水圖，分别兩度售於香港蘇富比，1984年5月22日，編號142及1990年11月13日，編號310；另一乾隆作例，瓶身飾纏枝花紋，展於《機暇清賞：懷海堂藏清代御窯瓷瓶》，中國文化研究所文物館，香港中文大學，香港，2007年，編號126。參見同展乾隆壁瓶作例，飾纏枝花卉，近足處環飾蓮瓣紋，編號130。

龍鳳為中國傳統神獸之首，龍為天子，鳳為皇后，寓意吉祥，亦賀夫婦連生貴子，故習見於婚姻喜慶。本品飾龍鳳呈祥紋飾，寄夫妻和睦，永结同心祝賀之願。
