the shallow rounded sides rising from a tapered foot to an everted rim, finely painted to the interior with a bearded scholar holding a staff and supported by a young attendant carrying a fan, all amongst a garden with shrubs issuing from jagged rocks, the rim encircled by iron-red floral blooms and insects, inscribed to the base with a six-character reign mark within a double-circle

Condition
A deep vertical scratch to the interior, measuring approximately 55mm. Two areas of discolouration to the rim, from approximately one o'clock to three o'clock and again around seven o'clock, which appears to be caused by misfiring. A small chip to the inside of the foot ring, 4mm. Otherwise in good condition, with minor firing imperfections.
