郭漢深的彩墨作品富有深刻的精神意義。郭氏為廣東人，於國立臺灣師範大學藝術系畢業，後往香港中文大學研習水墨。在台北時曾師從劉國松，其創作明顯轉向內省之精神層面象徵。一九八〇年代定居美國，其作品在香港及美國廣泛展出。郭漢深選擇以傳統卷軸水墨形式呈現藏教之精粹與萬佛之像，簡潔無華，安寧靜謐。

王概在《芥子園畫譜》中寫道：「然欲無法必先有法，欲易先難，欲練筆簡凈必入手繁縟。」此道家思想及後人之闡釋可謂是理解及分析國畫的不二法則。

《慧海梵音》帶觀者領略自然奇觀間的恬靜寧和，莊嚴肅穆。其深悉道家及佛家教誨，構圖素雅無華，夜空下閃爍的藍色海洋略帶神秘，畫面上方當眼位置的幾片金箔呈簡單幾何造型，象徵佛教修持冥想中心的曼荼羅。
