曾佑和逾五十年來以夏威夷檀香山為家，與丈夫住在瓦胡島的努安諾谷，在此處畫成《顛倒瀑布》，瀑布位於Pali（夏威夷語中「懸崖」的意思）附近，從克努瓦努山百尺崖前一傾而下，強風吹來，水波霏霏，瀑布竟看似逆流而上，此顛倒瀑布因這層神秘面紗而顯得難以靠近，更添獨特魅力，是夏威夷島上最壯觀的瀑布之一。《顛倒瀑布》呈現瓦胡島迎風昂立的碧綠青山，瀑布底端岩石上激起白茫茫的水花，起伏來去，曾氏巧以「綴畫」及拼貼技巧展現出一幅水簾下的澎湃景象。
