描述
- Nanmu (Phoebe zhennan)
formed from multiple sections of wood creating a free-form shape and naturalistic uneven surface of knots, holes and bumps, covered overall with a dark black lacquer, the grain of the wood revealed in patches on the exterior where the lacquer has worn thin, the interior and base with a very smooth even surface
Condition
The brishpot is in overall very good condition with expected age cracks and light crackling to the lacquer on the interior and on the rim. There are a few chips to the lacquer on the interior rim. [Check Colour] [earlier input]
As mentioned in the description, the lacquer has worn thin in places on the exterior revealing the natural grain of the wood beneath. The seams where the wood has been meticulously pieced together is also visible. There are some minor chips to the lacquer along the edges. The overall condition is quite good. [Edie's notes]
