the floating-panel top secured within a mitered frame with molded edge and two transverse stretchers on the underside, on paired recessed legs of circular section secured by parallel stretchers, the straight apron finely detailed with a beaded edge and rounded spandels joined to the legs, the well-figured wood smoothly patinated to a warm golden colour

The table is in overall good condition. The edge of the frame has four slender patch repairs. The frame has most likely been tightened due to shrinkage of the two board panel. The joints have been consolidated.
