《無題》屬於荒木經惟長久以來以花為題材的創作系列。對於荒木而言，花同時代表了「生」與「死」這兩種完全相反的特質，觀者看到照片中盛放的花卉時，相中花已然凋謝。荒木拍攝的花卉，最早來自墓葬風塵女子寺廟中的祭祀鮮花，他特別喜歡凋零的姿態，更會帶著白色背板前去寺廟拍照。後來，花卉在他的鏡頭下有著盛放的瞬間，尤如他鏡頭下的女性，就如今次拍賣的《無題》中的一幅彩色鮮花，在爭艷盛放的瞬間，畫面右方卻慢慢沒入黑暗，這種對死亡的迷戀在日本文化中植根已深，荒木不過以照片方式將之延續。《無題》另一張是馬蹄蘭的黑白照，原本鮮艷的花瓣成為一片黝黑，美麗的生命，由生到死，從過去到未來，都留在照片中。
