水墨灑金箋 立軸 一九二八年作

款識：
喚起淡粧人，曲曲屏山，細灑冰泉，湘竹最宜枕；
追念西湖上，疎疎雪片，緩移箏柱，歌扇輕約飛花。
吾少居玉尺山房，沁泉修竹，石榻桃笙，信白石翁詞所謂「不受人間袢暑」，三十年來，此景宛然在目。至近歲，遨遊南北，其可念者，丙寅花朝後二日入杭州，青山如中酒，桃杏菜花如繡。飲於壺天樓，歌管畫船，曠懷忘世，感歎尺波之不還，承平之難再覯。集姜詞為聯記之。
如山吾兄法家並正。戊辰末伏酷暑。秋岳黃濬聆風簃東試書虛白齋紙。

上款：「如山」即齊如山（1875-1962），河北高陽人，早歲入同文館，後資助革命，曾赴歐洲，對戲劇理論深有研究，乃著名戲劇理論家，有關中國戲曲之著作甚豐。

註：梅畹華蜚聲伶界，享譽菊壇，成功之道，在藝事鑽研精益求精外，實有賴身旁聚結之文人名士，為其編戲，說戲，策劃獻計，儼如顧問參謀，如馮幼偉、羅癭公、李釋堪、楊雲史等，有「梅黨」之稱。黃秋岳、齊如山亦其中參與最力者，彼此關係密切。

黃秋岳以詩文為舊京文壇推重，齊氏亦深折服。他舊學根柢深厚，文思敏捷，擅集宋詞入聯。本幅取姜白石詞句，追懷當年西子遊湖閒適之情，句文風輕雲淡，飄逸放浪，惟兩載之別，下筆時卻屆北伐風雲變幻之際，心情迥異，如山得此，當能體會撰者當時心境。
