上款：「畹華」即京劇表演藝術大師梅蘭芳 (1894-1961)。

註：民初京華伶界諸角，與文壇藝苑關係密切。是時，享譽菊壇者，多賴文人從傍獻謀出策，或度曲，或編戲，或廣肆宣揚，亦有傳授書畫，以薰陶文化氣息，提高個人修養品味，故伶界人士多習詩文畫藝，梅蘭芳即隨陳師曾、汪吉麟、齊白石學畫，與于非闇同列白石老人門牆，故有同門之誼。

于氏寫扇，多配一字一畫，本幅同屬書法，一寫右軍行草，一寫石鼓，兼書於大扇，瀟灑流暢，渾穆厚重，兩者俱備，鮮見其筆下，或應梅氏所求而書。
