空襲淒惶憶穴居，兒啼歸泣倍愁予；驚心沮洳場中夜，敵耗頻傳信可虞。殘月迷茫野洞中，烽高寒夜感無窮；丹心幸有光明在，正氣氤氳護藐躬。歷盡饑危十八天，相看菜色總淒然；自從抗戰功成日，如夢浮生又幾年。
民國三十年臘月八日，日寇侵港，時予客寓禮頓山前，屋後適有防空洞，舉家穴居違難，凡十有八天。洞中初尚整潔，既而避難者日眾，沮洳穢亂，與日俱增。矧寒夜風聲鶴唳，慘痛驚惶，及今猶談虎色變也。丁亥冬至。少游并誌於香江麗精畫苑。

-Signs of paper loss and a crease can be found at the lower middle section of the painting, which can be improved by restoration. Otherwise, generally in good condition.
