註：畫家自題曰「曉來微雨蕉花紫」，點出畫中意境，蕉樹矗立，綠葉如傘蔭護，紫花低垂一角，蝸牛依樹幹緩緩爬行，正是清秋晨曦，雨刷蕉林，俗喧頓消，生機自現。畫中輕敷淡彩，復施渲染，不重刻劃細緻，卻著眼於氣氛營造，雨過濕潤之色，溢於紙上，亟見幽致。如此題材構圖，少昂日後屢寫之，若對照其創作歷程，本幅似屬最早；同年冬，復寫另本，兩者相近，可見他好之甚矣。難怪現藏者於九二年示此舊作，畫家極喜，遂書六尺巨聯配之。
