款識：
古漪春暖。（錄宋人楊萬里〈牡丹詩〉，文略）歲次壬辰年初春二月，寫于高雄浪琴小榭。伯辳并記。
上海古漪園植牡丹百餘本，多為名品。庚寅年春月，數度往游賞花，得稿數紙，今略參唐宋人構圖設色之法，為寫此圖，欣然怡悅也。歲次壬辰仲春。伯辳又記。
題跋：
一枝紅艷露凝香，雲雨巫山枉斷腸。
借問漢宮誰得似，可憐飛燕依新裝。
名花傾國兩相歡，常得君王帶咲看。
解識（釋）春風無限恨，沉香亭北倚欄干。
癸巳四月，健碧海上書。

註：劉伯農，山東高唐人，一九三五年生於上海，四九年隨父母赴台。幼好丹青，自行研習，曾入選第六屆全國美展。七十年代初師事吳子深，專工山水、蘭竹；工筆花鳥私淑于非闇。先後在台灣舉行個展及參加年展。後移居美國，應邀在多所大學講課，主授中國美術史及創作，在彼邦積極推動中國文化。二〇〇三年退休，專注創作。
