註：上世紀二十年代，大千先生多次往遊東瀛，行旅中創作不輟，留下畫迹甚豐，本幅題「客居大阪」，考同月「己巳七月」，其足跡踏遍關東關西，既有不忍池觀荷，復見大阪炎夏中逭暑，本幅即畫上鴻爪之一。
「雲林洗桐」屢見於歷代畫迹上，先生偶亦為之，本幅或最早見其筆下者。畫幅裁紙窄長，構圖遂因材而施，梧桐禿身矗立，葉聚於頂，益顯挺拔高聳之姿。倪迂負手靠樹，僮僕執巾，隨侍於後，主僕二人體型刻意拉長，明顯異於畫家一貫處理人物之手法。雲林開臉亦非大千自畫像之面貌，五官輪廓僅約略狀之，用筆極簡，頗近石濤、張風之筆墨，此亦畫家早年人物畫創作演變歷程之一例。
畫中無鈐名章，僅具室號及壓角閒章各一方，此亦其作品中鮮見，足堪一記。
