註：本幅寫傳統新春開歲題材，畫中見菓品時卉，盆皿彝器，陳設擺放高低有序，色艷而不妖，氣息古樸。其技法類近是時流行海上之孔小瑜輩；若論細緻精密，注重器皿質感及植物之鮮活清新，尤以物體光暗、凹凸之微細處，則參合了西洋寫實之法。如趙叔孺自謂畫馬師趙承旨，又謂「自來畫馬，當推郎世寧為最」，復效之，汲取其法轉移至其他題材，本幅即屬明証。且趙氏鮮寫絹本，今偶取之，實效郎世寧作畫用料矣。
