註：吳青霞自幼隨父親吳仲熙習畫，其父好鑒賞收藏，她得其所便，多有臨摹，各科無不精擅。本幅畫摩兜堅尊者著灰色袈裟坐娑羅樹洞中，身邊置朱砂色包袱，洞外紅嘴白雀立於石青色缽，如佛經所載：「吐氣成吉祥文字，樹上鳥雀皆證妙音善果。」娑羅樹古幹繁枝佔據大部份畫面，頗具晚明丁雲鵬、吳彬諸家面貌，又可見貫休〈十六羅漢圖〉、趙孟頫〈紅衣羅漢圖〉等前人名跡之影響，她能融匯一爐，創一己之稿，確不虛史稱「揮毫臨摹，迥出天然」。
此幅為祝壽之作，鈐印「花好月圓人壽」以合主題；同稿作品尚見同年畫贈時任交通部長王伯群成扇。是年，吳青霞剛結束常州女子師範學校學業，居滬，設工作室，廣登潤格，不久，便揚名海上畫壇了。
