註：畫中高士相伴立於崖上，背倚飛泉，下臨湍水，若無心於聽瀑，卻著意相互交談，白衣者侃侃暢論，朱衣者籠袖聆聽，瀑聲直將塵囂擋於其外，似是魏晋隱逸避世之談。傅抱石「瀑泉」系列，無論聽濤、觀濤，於四九年後，畫中點綴現代人物較多，本幅則傳承金剛坡時期之風。畫中佈局以近景為主，僅以淡赭調墨，寥寥數筆交待背景之崖壁，瀑布取極簡之留白法，焦點置於前景右方之高士。近處兩石分佈左右，湍水貫穿其間，水流有聲，如鳴佩環，溪中石塊，為坻為嶼。畫家點景人物精妙，用筆迅疾，綫條流暢，濃墨點畫鬚眉，朱色薄施於履端，細妙處足見用心！
