註：少梅人物畫好取前賢高士入圖，蓋其師承北樓先生，早慧悟其妙詣，仿古尤攝前人遺韵，施諸人物，或宋或元，皆古意盎然，盡得畫中角色之性格面貌。
本冊以晉唐迄宋的文人雅士入畫，尺幅雖小，若掌中藏珍。每開人物高僅及寸，且無襯景配綴，但刻劃精細，經營用心，或子美踱步覓句苦吟，或太白舉杯邀月對酌，神情切合其身份及性格；兼且筆力遒勁，綫條纖細含勁，衣紋轉折頓挫有致，見飄逸生動，敷色淡雅蘊藉，不燥不火，畫家修養於此畢現。畫上無署年，按風格推斷，應屬四十年代中期所出。每開具書法篆刻家壽石工小字楷書長題，迻錄與畫中人物有關之詩詞，書畫圖文互生呼應。壽氏與少梅交誼甚佳，常為其畫作題跋，增色不少，本冊即一明証。
