each with rounded sides resting on a straight foot and an everted rim, deeply carved through alternating layers of black and cinnabar lacquer with five ruyi-shaped pommels suspended from the rim above a 'classic' scroll, the interior and the base lined with silver
Condition
There is some expected wear to the lacquer in areas and the silver lining on the base and on the interior is occasionally oxidised or dented, but overall the five cups are in good condition.
