well potted with wide everted sides, supported on a splayed hollow stem encircled by a rib, covered on the exterior with a deep sacrificial-blue glaze of vibrant purplish colour finely suffused on the surface with a faint 'orange peel' effect, the interior and the base left white, the latter inscribed with a six-character horizontal mark

There is a 0.8 cm. shallow flake to the interior rim and another small 0.5 cm chip or fritting of glaze on the rim. There are further occasional brown spots or pinholes on the rim and an iron-spot on the interior, otherwise the stembowl is in good condition.
