carved in openwork in the form of a boy sitting atop a tiger beneath whilst holding a long sprig of lingzhi, the curved sprig forming a frame over the boy's figure, both sides similarly detailed in low relief with the boy dressed in loose robes and looking backwards, the tiger's eyebrows and striped fur detailed with fine incisions, the smoothly polished stone of even celadon-white colour, later set with embellished gold mounts for suspension

Condition

The plaque is in overall very good condition with only some occasional minute nibbles to the extremities. The stone has some natural inclusions and veinings, including one to the edge of the lingzhi. The actual colour is consistent with the catalogue illustration.
