naturalistically carved in the form of two conjoined fruit well-figured with thin ridges, the translucent stone of burnt caramel tone with paler golden shades, the opaque veins skilfully worked as cream-coloured ground-nuts picked out with black, forming a support for a brush on top and the feet on the underside
Condition
The brushrest is in good condition and the carving delightful.
